Your first breath underwater — guided try-dive at Koh Tao from Koh Samui, French-speaking instructor, all equipment included
Koh Tao is Thailand's most iconic diving destination and one of the cheapest, most beginner-friendly places in the world to discover scuba. From Koh Samui, we take you there for a full day with a certified French-speaking instructor, two supervised dives and all the equipment you need — no experience, no certification required.
The day starts with hotel pickup, then a speedboat transfer from Bangrak Beach to Koh Tao (about 1h30). After a safety briefing and in-water skills check, you descend on your first dive at a shallow beginner site — reefs teeming with tropical fish, visibility typically 15 to 25 meters. Lunch at a restaurant on the island. Second dive in the early afternoon at a different site.
You'll see butterflyfish, parrotfish, clownfish and, with a bit of luck, turtles and blacktip reef sharks. The instructor stays next to you throughout, so you just have to focus on breathing slowly and enjoying the weightlessness. All equipment (BCD, regulator, mask, fins, wetsuit), insurance, drinks and lunch are included in the 5,900 THB price.
A try-dive (baptême) is specifically built for first-time divers. The instructor handles every technical aspect; you just breathe, look around and enjoy the weightlessness.
Reef fish in every color, visibility 15-25m, warm 29°C water year-round. Potential encounters with sea turtles, reef sharks, moray eels and schools of barracuda.
For francophone clients, a French-speaking instructor makes your first breath underwater reassuring and crystal clear — a rare asset at Koh Tao dive centers.

No. The try-dive (baptême de plongée) is designed for first-time divers with no certification. A qualified instructor supervises every dive and depth is limited to beginner-friendly levels.
Minimum age is typically 10 years old. Children must be able to swim and follow the safety briefing. Not recommended for pregnant women or people with respiratory or cardiac conditions.
Two dives: one mid-morning after the speedboat transfer, another in the early afternoon. Each dive lasts 30 to 45 minutes at beginner-friendly sites around Koh Tao.
Yes. Hotel pickup & drop-off on Koh Samui, all dive equipment (BCD, regulator, mask, fins, wetsuit), 2 dives, restaurant lunch, cold drinks, French-speaking guide and dive insurance are included in the 5,900 THB price.
Yes. Non-divers can snorkel at the dive sites while divers are underwater. Mention it when booking so we can confirm snorkeling pricing and plan the day accordingly.
